A prominent vehicle rental company is seeking a Debtors Manager to oversee and enhance its collections operations. This role offers the opportunity to lead a dynamic team, optimise recovery strategies, and ensure adherence to industry regulations and company standards.

As the Debtors Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

Lead, develop, and manage a team of collections agents to meet and exceed performance goals.
Design and implement effective recovery strategies for delinquent and high-risk accounts.
Engage with customers, legal teams, external debt collectors (EDCs), and internal departments.
Manage and monitor the Excalibur system, oversee legal recovery actions, and resolve customer disputes.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting in line with the National Credit Act and Debt Collectors Act.
Oversee payment allocation processes, settlement negotiations, write-offs, and call centre performance.

Qualifications:
3–5 years’ experience in managing a collections team (preferably within the car rental or service sector).
Relevant qualification: NQF Level 5 or higher in Credit Management, Finance, or Law.
Valid Code 08 driver's license.
Proficient in MS Excel; experience with Excalibur is an advantage.
Solid knowledge of the National Credit Act (NCA) and Debt Collectors Act (DCA).
Strong track record in managing legal recoveries, third-party engagements, and internal collections systems.
