Debtors Coordinator

SUMMARY:
Well established company in Cape-Town seeks a Debtors Coordinator / Supervisor to join their dynamic team (hybrid)

POSITION INFO:
Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in a similar role, particularly in accounts receivable
• Experienced in managing a large debtors book ie 30 million plus
• Basic Accounting knowledge (Debits/ Credits,..)
• Excel proficiency
• Previous supervisory experience and able to take ownership of accounts receivable management 
• Foreign debtors experience advantageous 

• Capture customer payments accurately and timeously in the accounting system
• Follow up on outstanding invoices by communicating directly with customers via phone and email
• Send monthly statements to customers and ensure timely collections
• Reconcile customer accounts to ensure all transactions are correctly recorded and discrepancies are resolved
• Prepare and maintain the accounts receivable ageing report for review by management
• Handle vendor application processes and ensure compliance with all relevant requirements
• Collaborate with both local and international clients to resolve account-related queries professionally
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes
• Support other relevant debtor-related functions and assist with ad hoc financial reporting as required
• Meet internal deadlines consistently and contribute to the smooth operation of the finance department
