SUMMARY:
Our client in the education sector, based in Glenwood requires a Debtors Clerk on a temporary basis, whose primary responsibility is to maintain optimal cash flow, whilst mitigating credit risk.

POSITION INFO:
Key Functions:

Efficient cash flow management through monitoring debtors, ensuring timely payments from parents and implementing strategies to accelerate collections
Evaluate and mitigate risk
Negotiate payment terms
Resolve billing queries and disputes amicably
Keep an open line of communication to facilitate future dealings
Generate regular financial reports
Maintain accurate records for prompt decision-making
Utilize software for efficiency
Ensure compliance with legal frameworks and company policies
Stay updated with financial regulations
Implement internal controls to prevent compliance lapses

Key Requirements:

Matric
Tertiary education in finance advantageous
Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Methodical and pays attention to detail
