Debtors Clerk

SUMMARY:
Umhlanga.  Opportunity exists with well established Property company for a Debtors Clerk to join their team.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• 2 - 5 years’ experience in a Debtors Clerk role. Property experience is preferred but not essential.
• Minimum Matric Qualification.
• A Diploma / Certificate in the Accounting or Finance field would be a distinct advantage.

• Actively follow up on outstanding debt daily telephonically and via email.
• Work closely with Centre Managers, Asset managers, General Manager and Finance on all debtors matters.
• Escalate any account problem to relevant Centre Managers to assist with collections.
• Responding to tenants’ emails/calls/request and resolving queries
• Respond timeously to tenants on queries regarding their account.
• Draft and send out agreement of debt, letters of demand etc. duly authorised by Senior Management. Ensure signed letters are received. 
• Assist bookkeepers on coding of bank statements and ensure correct allocation on tenant’s accounts.
• Ensuring daily receipting is done on time for all companies and assist with capturing when needed.
• Ensure accurate allocation of all deposits to correct accounts.
