The main purpose of this position is to coordinate data collection and quality assurance activities, and to provide data analytic support, including hypothesis testing, linear and logistic regression modelling, and survival analysis.

Minimum Requirements:

• Master’s in Public Health, with focus in Biostatistics or Epidemiology
• Minimum 2 years’ experience managing and analysing public health research data
• Minimum 2 years’ experience building or managing data platforms
• Computer skills (Microsoft Office), and other database software like REDCAP experience
• Experience in the use of STATA, SPSS and other qualitative software for data analysis
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration and communication (oral and written) skills
• Strong analytical and organisational skills

• Decision making skills
• Planning and organising skills
• Adaptive to change
• Team player, as well as the ability to work independently
• Ability to multi-task

Advantageous:

• Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certificate
• Knowledge of public health research implementation and monitoring procedures
• Valid code 8 driver’s license and own vehicle

Responsibilities:

Data Coordination

• Institutionalize high quality data collection, management, and quality assurance systems and processes
• Develop and implement real-time data quality assurance processes and procedures
• Perform data cleaning and log data queries for investigation
• Support the design compatible and integrated systems for data coordination and sharing with research partners
• Design and pilot data collection tools using REDCap, ACASI, or custom-made applications to meet project-specific needs
• Develop user-friendly interface applications for data collection and facilitate trainings and field implementation
• Work with study Principal Investigator and International Data Managers to develop data management and quality assurance plans, including project progress monitoring tools
• Ensure training of and optimal implementation of all components of project data management
• Develop and automate statistical dashboards on project implementation and key study variables
• Train and support field-based data collection staff members
• Prepare and extract analytic datasets, and perform analyses for project PI and managers
• Attend data management meetings

Data Analysis

• Support study Principal Investigator and Project Managers in analysis of quantitative research data for study purpose and to monitor operational and implementation progress
• Contribute, as co-author, to scientific manuscript data analysis and result interpretation
• In collaboration with Senior Researchers, develop data analysis plans for grant applications and study protocols
