POSITION INFO:
Company and Job Description:
My client is seeking an experienced Credit Vetting Agent to join their Finance team, where you will play a key role in supporting sound credit decisions and mitigating financial risk to the business.

In this role, you will assess new and existing customers in accordance with the Credit Vetting policy, ensuring all evaluations are accurate and compliant. You will also be responsible for managing debit order mandates and resolving customer banking-related queries, while maintaining high standards of service delivery and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform credit vetting on new and existing customers in line with company policy
Identify, assess, and manage potentially fraudulent applications
Apply credit risk management principles and internal credit policies in decision-making
Manage and resolve debit order mandate queries and related support tickets
Handle customer banking detail queries accurately and efficiently
Analyse and interpret data from both internal systems and external credit sources
Work closely with the sales team to resolve application-related queries and issues
Meet daily ticket resolution targets while maintaining high levels of accuracy and compliance

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Grade 12 (Matric)
Tertiary qualification in Credit Management or similar – Advantageous
Minimum 5 years’ experience in credit vetting (consumer and business customers)
Strong knowledge of credit management principles
Proficient in Microsoft Office
