Credit Controller (Sandton)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

It is a requirement of this position that the Credit Controller takes full responsibility for all administrative matters relating to the Residential- and/or Commercial Property Portfolio. This includes liaising with service providers, contractors and property owners, capturing of statements and invoices, supplier details on the Company’s property management system (‘MDA’), creditor accounts administration, reoccurring payment management, the updating of data on MDA. The role also includes taking care of all the general office administration and day-to-day operations relating to creditors administration.

Minimum Job Qualifications Required:

ØMatric
ØBetween 5-7 years credit control experience
ØMDA experience

Daily Responsibilities:

ØSupervision of credit controllers/property administrators.
ØManagement of the administration and cashbook process.
ØCreating procedures and policies that ensure timely payments of suppliers while ensuring assigned suppliers are paid per the invoice timelines.
ØReconciling complex supplier accounts that have been escalated.
ØMonitoring supplier statements to ensure a reduction in supplier complaints.
ØLiaising with suppliers, as well as internal personnel including directors.
ØStrong analytical skills and attention to detail.
ØGood business acumen for problem solving.
ØCompetency with large ERP systems.
ØConfidence to deal with a range of stakeholders.
ØExcellent time management skills and ability to prioritise a demanding workload.
ØProven track record of making successful decisions.
ØFamiliarity with data entry and analysis.
ØThe ability to listen and negotiate winning solutions.
ØClosing suppliers on MDA at the end of service/SLA.
ØFiling of all correspondence in respect of the above – Filing is mainly done on OneDrive.
ØUpdating of supplier details on MDA when necessary.
ØCreditors & General Administration.

Weekly Responsibilities:

ØCashbook receipting and payment allocation.
ØReconciliation of cashbooks.
ØPreparation and loading of supplier payments.
ØLoading and vetting of new suppliers.
ØClosing accounts of old suppliers.

Monthly Responsibilities:

ØFinancials & Management Reports.

Annual Responsibilities:

ØArchiving of supplier files and building office files including management of files in accordance with POPI.
ØAssistance with queries from auditors.
