Credit Controller

Our client in the West Rand, requires the services of a Credit Controller to collect 30 day invoices, resolve queries, ensure COD accounts are cleared and cash flow is elevated.

Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12
• Bookkeeping certificate or diploma
• Computer literate
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and Pastel
• 3 - 5 years working experience in a credit control role

• Well developed planning, organising and time management skills
• Good reconciliation skills

Duties will include:

• Load customers onto Pastel incl limits and terms and advise CLO.
• Collecting of all C.O.D. and 30-day payments.
• Attend to all account queries.
• Confirm customers payment with release of goods
• Reconcile all debtors on age analysis and escalate "Bad Debt" to Accounts Manager for further action
• Ensure that all P.O.D.'s are filed in the correct order
• Credit vet clients who apply for 30-day terms with Credit Guarantee
• Daily cash book payments must be allocated accurately
• Confirm customer's payment release
• Daily ensure that relevant digital notes are captured onto the system.
• Ensure daily and monthly collection targets are met and achieved
• Ensure that the customer has up loaded invoices onto their system. (when applicable)
• Monthly ensure that all recons are complete and statements and P.O.D.'s are sent to customers by the 6th of every month.
• Ensure that the larger recons are checked first by the Accounts Manager before they are sent off to customer
• Collecting on 30-day customers start from the 25th up until the 7th.
• Receive remittance from customer and reconcile to statement
• Draw information and reports (where applicable) from customer databases/online stores etc, file and use for reconciliations.
• Handle all telephonic and email customer unit account queries and record details.
• Telephonic customer liaison 
• Employee communication
• Assist sales, CRM, admin, despatch & receiving employees with any queries, and related questions.
• Co-operate fully with all staff.
• Be available to assist all managers.
• Co-operate fully with management on all issues.
• Customer - Ensure that all telephonic calls / queries are dealt with speedily and with a friendly demeanour. 
• Employees - Ensure that all queries and tasks are resolved timeously, and with a friendly and helpful manner.
• Credit vet clients who apply for 30 day terms with Credit Guarantee
• If a query is unresolved after 3 attempts, escalate to department head with full details.
• Tidiness and housekeeping of workstation.
