Credit Controller

Job purpose:
The primary objective of a Senior Credit Controller is to take full responsibility and management of a portfolio of key customers with the purpose of maximising the debtor cash collection performance and reduce overdue debt whilst minimising any risk of late payment and bad debt.

Minimum requirements:

• 7 - 10 yrs credit control experience
• Relevant tertiary qualification essential
• Advanced Microsoft Excel
• Must be familiar with Attorney and Insurance processes
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Accounting software

Duties will include but is not limited to:

• Responsible for a debtors’ book of +/- 500 accounts
• Assessing and evaluating new applications, providing recommendations to management
• Negotiating payment plans
• Processing daily banking
• Allocate payments
• Follow up on overdue invoices and payments and implement company collections procedures as necessary
• Ad-hoc administrative duties
• Assist and support other team members
• Ensure complete and accurate debtors reports, working papers and customer account statement
• Resolve all account customer queries independently
