JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job purpose:
The primary objective of a Senior Credit Controller is to take full responsibility and management of a portfolio of key customers with the purpose of maximising the debtor cash collection performance and reduce overdue debt whilst minimising any risk of late payment and bad debt.

Minimum requirements:

7 - 10 yrs credit control experience
Relevant tertiary qualification essential
Advanced Microsoft Excel
Must be familiar with Attorney and Insurance processes
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Accounting software

Duties will include but is not limited to:

Responsible for a debtors’ book of +/- 500 accounts
Assessing and evaluating new applications, providing recommendations to management
Negotiating payment plans
Processing daily banking
Allocate payments
Follow up on overdue invoices and payments and implement company collections procedures as necessary
Ad-hoc administrative duties
Assist and support other team members
Ensure complete and accurate debtors reports, working papers and customer account statement
Resolve all account customer queries independently
