SUMMARY:

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and deadline-driven Debtors & Accounts Administrator to manage the full debtors function within a residential or property-based environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate account management, effective collections, and supporting broader accounting and administrative functions.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities

Manage the full debtors control function for all homeowner accounts
Collect outstanding levies and actively follow up on arrears accounts
Perform account reconciliations and resolve queries via email and telephone
Generate and distribute monthly statements and invoices
Process month-end journals and reporting
Capture and reconcile monthly debit orders, ensuring all supporting documentation is current
Ensure timely distribution of statements to debit order clients
Execute month-end procedures, including levy and homeowner transfers
Reconcile daily restaurant room charges
Maintain control of stationery procurement, aligned with budget requirements
Provide support to the accounts department with general accounting and administrative duties
Ensure accurate allocation of debtor payments and general account entries
Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures

Minimum Requirements

Education:

Grade 12 (Matric)
Post-matric qualification in Accounting or related field (e.g. N6 or equivalent)

Experience:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar accounting or debtors’ role
Solid understanding of accounting principles and VAT

Technical Skills:

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel)
Experience with accounting software (advantageous)
Knowledge of QSA systems (advantageous)
