POSITION INFO:
A leading private healthcare provider is seeking a commercially focused Cost Accountant to support hospital operations through accurate costing, insightful reporting, and financial analysis. Working closely with clinical, procurement, pharmacy, and operational teams, you will identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring exceptional financial governance across the hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain hospital costing models
Analyse patient, theatre, pharmacy, and departmental costs
Monitor consumable usage and identify cost-saving opportunities
Perform variance analysis and investigate cost drivers
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Analyse stock movements and inventory valuations
Produce profitability and operational performance reports
Partner with hospital management to improve financial efficiency

Job Experience & Skills Required:

BCom Accounting, Finance, or Management Accounting
CIMA studies advantageous
3-5 years' costing experience
Healthcare, manufacturing, or operational costing experience preferred
Advanced Excel and ERP systems experience
Strong analytical and business partnering skills
