POSITION INFO:
Our client is a globally recognised mining organisation renowned for its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence. Operating across multiple commodities and international markets, the company continues to invest in cutting-edge technologies, responsible mining practices, and the development of exceptional talent.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyse operational and production costs across business units.
Prepare detailed cost reports and variance analyses.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes.
Monitor and control operating costs to ensure financial targets are achieved.
Perform cost allocations and profitability analyses.
Support month-end reporting and management accounts preparation.
Identify cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiencies.
Prepare financial models and reporting to support decision-making.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:

BCom Accounting qualification.
Completed CIMA qualification is non-negotiable.

Experience:

2-3 years' experience in a Cost Accountant or Management Accountant role.
Previous experience within mining, engineering, heavy industry.
Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and variance reporting.
