SUMMARY:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic individual to join their team as a Container Logistics Controller. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimising logistics operations to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

This position requires strong analytical ability, a solid understanding of logistics processes, and the ability to coordinate effectively across multiple teams.

The Container Operations Controller will manage and coordinate the movement, tracking, and control of shipping containers within a logistics, port, and transport environment.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and control inbound and outbound container movements
Track container status using logistics systems
Coordinate with shipping lines, transporters, depots, and port authorities
Schedule deliveries, collections, and container repositioning
Ensure accurate container inventory and resolve discrepancies
Manage documentation related to container movements
Monitor deadlines to avoid detention penalties
Identify and resolve operational delays and issues
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
Prepare operational reports and performance updates

Requirements

Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
Previous experience in logistics or container operations
Strong understanding of transport and logistics processes
Good analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
Proficient in logistics systems and Microsoft Office
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and coordination skills
