Component Controller – Valve Assembly Line (Automotive)

SUMMARY:
This role is responsible for ensuring that all components required for valve production are correctly prepared, controlled, assembled, inspected, and transferred throughout the manufacturing process

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections in accordance with established work instructions.
• Load and operate production assembly machines.
• Feed and load dip tube reels while ensuring accurate production information is transferred to the End-of-Line Inspector.
• Assemble, pack and close finished product boxes.
• Prepare packaging materials by placing plastic bags into boxes.
• Set dip tube lengths on production machines.
• Change dip tube manifolds and springs when required.
• Remove used and rejected reels and dispose of waste materials correctly.
• Assist with routine machine maintenance and daily equipment checks.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards and ensure a clean, safe working environment.
• Support continuous production flow while meeting quality and production targets.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Minimum N3 qualification or higher.
• Proven technical knowledge and practical experience working with production machinery.
• Previous experience within an Automotive Plastic Injection Moulding manufacturing environment is essential.
• Experience working in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment will be advantageous.
• Willing and able to work rotating shifts, weekends and overtime when operationally required.
