POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant culinary qualification or professional cookery training
- 1 to 2 years' experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar kitchen role
- Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or high-volume kitchen environment
- Basic understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation standards
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP principles
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
- Well-presented with excellent teamwork skills
- South African ID

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist with the production of high-quality dishes
- Support Chef de Parties and senior chefs in daily kitchen operations
- Maintain consistency in food quality and presentation
- Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes and hotel standards
- Keep workstations clean, organised, and hygienic at all times
- Follow food safety and hygiene procedures
- Assist with stock rotation and minimise food waste
- Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality standards
- Support the kitchen team with any additional duties required
