Commercial Analyst

SUMMARY:
In the dynamic FMCG environment, commercial decisions move fast, and the right insight can make all the difference. We’re looking for a CIMA-qualified professional or registered Chartered Accountant with a track record in turning complex data into clear, actionable strategies. With advanced Excel skills (and ideally Power BI expertise), you’ll play a key role in planning and costing processes, producing impactful reporting and analysis, tracking budgets, and providing operational support that drives real results.

POSITION INFO:

As the Commercial Analyst, your duties include the following:
Produce accurate, timely, and insightful monthly and ad-hoc financial reports that empower strategic decision-making
Manage data input for planning cycles and ensure smooth month-end processes, including variance analysis, data integrity checks, and reporting
Review and analyse key P&L items monthly, ensuring accuracy, identifying trends and highlighting opportunities to improve financial performance
Prepare clear, impactful presentations of monthly results and business updates, translating data into actionable insights
Maintain precise, up-to-date budget tracking across all line items for informed financial control
Deliver ad-hoc analyses, drive special projects, and provide day-to-day support to the Africa Team and Senior FM

Skills & Experience:
Proficiency in accounting, budgeting, and valuation software
Power BI skills would be highly advantageous
Advanced Excel skills

Qualification:
Newly qualified CA(SA) or CIMA qualified
