The company provides Owner’s Engineer functions for utility-scale PV plants and BESS projects. It manages civil and structural infrastructure including earthworks, roads, drainage, foundations, and cable trenches.

The Role: Civil Supervisor – PV & BESS Projects

The Civil Supervisor is responsible for supervising all civil and structural works associated with utility-scale PV plants and BESS projects. The role ensures all civil works comply with approved designs, project specifications, environmental requirements, and construction quality standards. It supports the Owner’s Engineer function by monitoring infrastructure construction and ensuring works meet project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all civil construction activities on PV and BESS sites with a minimum of 6–8 years of experience.

• Monitor earthworks, foundations, roads, drainage systems, cable trenches, and structural works.

• Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

• Coordinate civil contractors and subcontractors on site.

• Conduct inspections and quality verification activities.

• Identify construction risks and implement mitigation measures.

• Ensure environmental and HSE compliance throughout construction activities.

• Support commissioning readiness and project handover activities.

About You

• Minimum 6–8 years’ proven experience in PV and BESS projects.

• Bachelor’s Degree or BTech in Civil Engineering.

• Registered or eligible for registration with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).

• Experience in Owner’s Engineer (OE) project environments.

• Knowledge of South African construction regulations and environmental requirements.

• Strong civil engineering and construction knowledge.

• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel and work on remote sites.

• Effective leadership, supervisory, and communication skills.
