The successful candidate will ensure the timely and accurate delivery of finished products to both local and export customers while managing fleet operations, route optimization, and warehouse efficiency. Chemical Manufacturing Distribution & Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Montaque Gardens, Cape Town
Salary: R30 000 p/m (negotiable) + medical aid & pension

Purpose of the Role:
We are seeking a hands-on Distribution & Warehouse Supervisor to lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced chemical manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will ensure the timely and accurate delivery of finished products to both local and export customers while managing fleet operations, route optimization, and warehouse efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, operational oversight, and a focus on on-time, in-full (OTIF) deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily distribution and warehouse operations, ensuring OTIF delivery performance.
• Manage fleet operations including maintenance, compliance, and cost control.
• Plan and optimize delivery routes, truck capacity, and fuel usage.
• Ensure accurate proof of delivery (POD), waybill control, and courier system management.
• Lead, coach, and develop distribution and warehouse staff; provide cover for the Distribution Manager when required.
• Maintain stock accuracy, enforce dispatch compliance, and support internal and external audits.
• Prepare and submit operational and performance reports to management.

Requirements:

• Matric (Logistics/Supply Chain qualifications advantageous).
• 3–6 years’ experience in logistics, warehouse, or distribution management, ideally in manufacturing or a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse, dispatch, and transport processes.
• Skilled in fleet management, route planning systems, and compliance reporting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
