Is pastry your craft? We are looking for a skilled and creative Chef de Partie - Pastry who takes pride in precision, presentation and consistently exceptional quality.
Join a professional, high-volume hotel pastry kitchen producing pastries, desserts, cakes and baked goods across restaurant service, buffets, banqueting, conferences and special events.

POSITION INFO:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant Culinary or Pastry qualification
- Minimum 2–3 years’ recent pastry kitchen experience
- Chef de Partie - Pastry or strong Demi Chef de Partie – Pastry ready to progress
- 4 or 5 star hotel, luxury resort, high-end restaurant or high-volume pastry experience advantageous
- Strong pastry, dessert, cake, bread and baking skills
- Excellent finishing, plating and presentation skills
- Able to independently manage a pastry section
- Strong mise en place, portion control and production planning skills
- Good food safety, hygiene and HACCP knowledge
- Able to maintain quality and consistency during high-volume production
- Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
- South African citizen or valid South African work permit
- Updated CV with recent professional profile image and contactable references essential

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and produce pastries, desserts, cakes, breads and baked goods
- Take ownership of an assigned pastry section
- Maintain exceptional quality, flavour, consistency and presentation
- Support restaurant, buffet, banqueting and function production
- Ensure mise en place and production are completed on time
- Guide and support junior pastry chefs
- Maintain portion control, stock rotation and minimise waste
- Maintain excellent hygiene, food safety and HACCP standards
