SUMMARY:
A hospitality establishment in White River, Mpumalanga, is seeking a skilled and experienced CHEF to join their kitchen team.

POSITION INFO:
This is a solid opportunity for a capable, all-round chef who is confident working across a full menu, from daily meals through to three-course dinner service. The successful candidate will bring technical ability, consistency, and a genuine passion for food to a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Core Criteria:

Relevant culinary qualification or equivalent practical experience
Proven experience in a similar chef role within a hospitality or restaurant environment
Demonstrated ability to plan, prepare, and execute three-course dinner menus to a high standard
Strong knowledge of food hygiene, kitchen safety, and HACCP standards
Excellent attention to detail in food quality, presentation, and portion control
Ability to work independently and manage service periods with minimal supervision
Reliable, hardworking, and able to maintain consistent standards across all service periods
Flexible and willing to work split shifts and extended hours as required

Core Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and execute all meal periods including breakfast, lunch, and three-course dinner service
Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation across all dishes and service periods
Maintain strict hygiene, food safety, and HACCP standards throughout all kitchen areas
Ensure all mise en place is freshly prepared, organised, and ready for service at all times
Monitor stock levels, control portion sizes, and actively minimise food wastage

Live-out position with on-site accommodation available between shifts
