SUMMARY:
Category Manager Assistant

POSITION INFO:

Our client a leading FMCG organization is seeking a Category Manager Assistant to join their team. Our client is a well-established organization and a truly people focused brand, they offers great benefits, stability, growth and an attractive salary.

Overall Purpose of the Role

To fully support the Category Manager in an administrative role with regards to the purchasing of

products for the TC Home & Sales Aids Categories to ensure that the company operational needs are

met, taking into account price, quality and delivery, and to ensure continuity of supply.

Roles and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Responsible for placing orders (on instruction from the Demand Planner) with various suppliers and for following up and ensuring that all orders arrive on time.
Responsible for placing and maintaining these orders on Syspro.
Responsible for ensuring that deposit and balance payments are made on time.
Responsible for updating and maintaining an Order Schedule and Shipping Schedule weekly.
Responsible for doing provisional costings per order.
Responsible for preparing Terms & Conditions for each order and for getting signed copies back from the Supplier.
Responsible for preparing monthly stock update reports.
Responsible for regular weekly communication with suppliers during the production process.
Responsible for the approval of all artwork, packaging and shipping marks.
Responsible for the request and receipt of production samples and for managing samples to keep or for new product development & to give to Marketing for photography.
Responsible for overseeing the QC Processes for suppliers/products as required.
Responsible for giving final approval for goods to ship.
Responsible for bi-weekly review of shipping statuses from our freight forwarder and for communication with our freight forwarders.
Responsible for all clearing and shipping documentation.
