A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Cashbook Controller to join their high-volume, fast-paced Finance Shared Services team. This critical role ensures the integrity, accuracy, and timely reconciliation of cash transactions across the Group.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyse and reconcile daily and monthly bank statements and cashbooks
Monitor and clear cash suspense accounts promptly
Reconcile sub-ledgers to the general ledger and resolve variances
Assist in the preparation and finalisation of monthly consolidated bank reconciliations
Investigate and resolve unreconciled items and settlement differences
Liaise effectively with Accountants, Banks, Sales Teams, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable
Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and audit requirements
Identify process gaps, risks, and trends, and recommend improvements

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Completed BCom or Diploma Accounting
5 - 10 years’ experience in a similar position
Experience in a Retail and Stock industry.
Experience with Syspro ERP system would be beneficial
