Cashbook Clerk I Bookkeeper – Cape Town (CBD) - Immediately available

POSITION INFO:

Role:

• Manage the daily cashbook, recording all transactions accurately.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Import and reconcile payment gateways (PayPal, Stripe, Mollie, etc.) – training provided.
• Process supplier payments, employee reimbursements, and vendor invoices.
• Allocate customer receipts to the correct accounts.
• Maintain accurate financial records to support reporting and audits.
• Build strong relationships with vendors, including German-speaking suppliers.

What we’re looking for

• 2+ years’ experience in a cashbook, accounts payable, or similar finance role.
• Strong reconciliation and numerical skills, with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting systems.
• Knowledge of payment gateways (advantageous, but training provided).
• Resilient, proactive, and quick to learn.
• Excellent communication skills; German an advantage.
