We are seeking a qualified, goal-driven and self-motivated Cashbook Clerk to join our Finance team.

Purpose of the Role

The Cashbook Clerk is responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of supplier and operational payments across National Renal Care (NRC), Renal Care Holdings (RCH), and Busamed Renal Care (BRC). The role supports organisational financial governance by maintaining the integrity of the accounts payable and cashbook functions, ensuring supplier obligations are met, financial records remain accurate, and reconciliation processes are completed in accordance with established financial controls and organisational policies. The role contributes to operational excellence through effective payment processing, reconciliation, financial reporting support, and continuous improvement of financial administration processes while maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, medical practitioners, and service providers.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

Grade 12 (Matric)
Certificate or Diploma in Finance, Accounting or Bookkeeping

Experience

3–5 years' experience in Accounts Payable or Finance Administration.
Experience processing supplier payments.
Experience performing reconciliations.
Experience working within financial deadlines.
Healthcare finance experience will be advantageous
Experience using Sage Evolution preferred.

Working conditions

Office-based role within the Finance Department at National Renal Care Headoffice.
Frequent interaction with internal departments and external suppliers.
High-volume transactional environment requiring accuracy and adherence to strict deadlines.
Occasional overtime during month-end, financial year-end, audits, or business-critical reporting periods.
