SUMMARY:
Signa Opportunity
is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.

About the YES Initiative:
The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.

Position: Candidate Attorneys

Stipend: R8000

Location: Gauteng (Pretoria)

POSITION INFO:
About the role
Assist with legal processes including drafting documents, managing deceased estates, handling court filings, conducting legal research, and communicating with clients and institutions.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the administration of deceased estates.
Draft legal documents including summons and notices.
Prepare liquidation and distribution accounts.
Draft and review wills and trusts.
Serve legal documents at the Sheriff’s office.
Lodge claims with the Road Accident Fund (RAF).
Submit documents to the Master of the High Court.
Advertise deceased estates in the Government Gazette and newspapers.
Ensure compliance with the Administration of Estates Act 66 of 1965.
Communicate with clients and provided updates on case progress.
Accompany clients to expert assessments.
Request and manage hospital records.
Upload legal documents on Case Lines.
Create and manage cases on Court Online.
Conduct legal research.
Complete RAF forms.
Handle correspondence with banks and other institutions.
Open and maintain physical client files.
Organize and manage file referencing systems.

Minimum Requirements

South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
Must not have participated on the YES programme before.
Matric.
Bachelor of Laws (LLB).
