SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced Trade Tested Can Maker to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the production line, ensuring efficient machine operation, producing quality cans to specification, minimizing waste, and maintaining a safe working environment.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Operate and oversee the can-making production line.
Ensure products are manufactured according to quality specifications.
Monitor production output and reduce spoilage.
Conduct quality inspections and investigate production defects.
Liaise with the Quality department to resolve quality issues.
Set up machines and perform production line changeovers.
Ensure raw materials are available for production.
Monitor machine performance and report maintenance requirements.
Coordinate planned maintenance activities.
Supervise and coach production operators.
Ensure finished products are scanned and transferred to the warehouse.
Monitor production consumables and control waste.
Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
Encourage teamwork and maintain good housekeeping on the production line.

Minimum Requirements

Trade Tested Can Maker.
Minimum 6 years' post-trade experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of can-making machinery and production processes.
Computer literate, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
