POSITION INFO:

RedCat Recruitment is urgently seeking an experienced CREDITORS CONTROLLER for a well-established concern, position based in Pietermaritzburg.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Grade 12.

Valid Code 08 driver’s license / own reliable transport.

English / Afrikaans speaking person (must be able to read / write / speak English competently).

Relevant qualifications / courses completed an added advantage.

Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). Oracle experience would be an added advantage.

Previous working experience on the Syspro 7 package is essential.

5 – 10 years previous working experience in the creditors department.

Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information.

Creating and forwarding approved purchase orders to different department heads.

Submitting invoices for authorisation to management before capturing.

Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts payable data.

Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.

Verifying supplier information before positing system checks and EFT payments. Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.

Maintaining contact with external (suppliers) and internal (finance, receiving, production, transport and maintenance) to ensure invoices are clear for capturing and payment.

Resolving queries both externally (suppliers) and internally regarding outstanding documentation GRN’s, invoices, credit notes, adjustments and discrepancies.

Posting of system checks and EFT payment runs onto Syspro.

Monitoring discount opportunities.

Verifies accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.

Submitting reconciliations to management on a monthly basis.

Complete credit applications and email completed credit application back to suppliers.

Supervision / management of team.

Person must be able to work under pressure – high volumes of invoices.
