Our client a steel trading company requires an experienced Credit Controller to perform the full function of credit control.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

CREDIT CONTROLLER – ALBERTON (3768)

Our client a steel trading company requires an experienced Credit Controller to join their team.

Qualifications:

Grade 12 / equivalent

Experience and Requirements:

5 or more years recent experience as a Credit Controller (debtors)
Knowledge of Government Cessions in the Civil industry will be an advantage as well as mining and project houses
Worked with Tenders / managing projects
Experience vetting credit applications
Reliable transport
A stable work record and contactable references
Preferably a non- smoker
Able to work retails hours
A clear credit and criminal record
Strong collection and administrative skills
Computer literate on Syspro or similar and have advanced experience on Excel (Spreadsheets)
Reside close to Alberton
Knowledge of CGIC
Good verbal and communication skills in English and Afrikaans

Duties and Responsibilities:

Cashbook / Cash Flow
Annual Audits
Assist with admin duties related to stock takes
Filing and recordkeeping
Offer Branch support
Ensure that all payments are processed daily from bank accounts
Ensure that accounts remain in approved terms
Work closely with the Branch Manager and Credit Manager
Submit weekly and reports
