SUMMARY:
CLINICAL TRAINING SPECIALIST - NURSING EDUCATOR

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A successful hospital group is looking for a Registered Nurse experienced as a Nurse Educator

Must have a post basic ICU qualification

Experience & Qualifications required:

Diploma/Degree in Nursing (with appropriate specialization)
Post registration Qualification in Nursing Education
Post Basic Qualification in ICU
Current registration with SANC as Registered Nurse
Proven clinical leadership expertise
Specific knowledge and understanding of the legislation governing the practice of nursing
Experience as a CTS/Nurse Educator an added advantage
Registration as an Assessor an advantage
Ability to work Flexi hours and night duty
Understanding of change management principles
Facilitation and assessment skills
Computer proficiency
Drivers license

Key Performance Areas

Management of CPD & other programs for qualified nurses
Management of the risk based in-service training programs (including quality)
Management of internal and approved external student clinical programs (i.e. planning, facilitating and evaluating)
Research on relevant clinical practices
Marketing of the nursing profession
