SUMMARY:
CLINICAL TRAINING SPECIALIST - NURSING EDUCATOR

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A successful hospital group is looking for a Registered Nurse experienced as a Nurse Educator

Must have a post basic ICU qualification

Experience & Qualifications required:

  • Diploma/Degree in Nursing (with appropriate specialization)
  • Post registration Qualification in Nursing Education
  • Post Basic Qualification in ICU 
  • Current registration with SANC as Registered Nurse
  • Proven clinical leadership expertise
  • Specific knowledge and understanding of the legislation governing the practice of nursing
  • Experience as a CTS/Nurse Educator an added advantage
  • Registration as an Assessor an advantage
  • Ability to work Flexi hours and night duty
  • Understanding of change management principles
  • Facilitation and assessment skills
  • Computer proficiency
  • Drivers license

Key Performance Areas

  • Management of CPD & other programs for qualified nurses
  • Management of the risk based in-service training programs (including quality)
  • Management of internal and approved external student clinical programs (i.e. planning, facilitating and evaluating)
  • Research on relevant clinical practices
  • Marketing of the nursing profession
