JOB DESCRIPTION:

Receive briefs from Buyers/Merchandisers:
Brief and forward specs to suppliers to source quote and develop accordingly.
Follow up on supplier quotes/comparative quotes within a range of fabric specifications.
Confirm prices and proposed shipment dates with merchandisers.
Create orders once price and shipment dates are confirmed,
Follow up on confirmation of order and indent.
Capture and continually update the ERP system in line with the buying critical path.
Follow up with suppliers regarding the critical path ensuring buying divisions' timeous sign off on handlooms/lab dips/strike-offs.
Email all approvals.
Follow up of shipment dates (ETD) and ETA's.
Ensure timeous communication to production department/merchandisers of all ETD and ETA changes and maintain schedules accordingly.
Maintain records of orders with corresponding specs and signed approvals.
Appliances delivery management and control:
Maintain all record keeping of all arrivals.
