SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a passionate and results-driven Buyer with solid Buying experience.
This buyer needs to have exceptional knowledge of hunting, outdoor, and adventure gear space. The ideal candidate will have strong supplier relationships and strong excel skills.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:

Relevant degree or diploma.
2–3 years’ experience as a Buyer
Exceptional knowledge of Hunting and Outdoor.
Proficient in EXCEL
Fluent in English and Afrikaans
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Highly organised, proactive, and deadline-driven

Presentable, professional, and trustworthy
Self-motivated, takes initiative, and works well in a team
Strong written and verbal communication

Key Responsibilities:

Source, select, and negotiate with local and international suppliers
Secure competitive pricing, payment terms, and exclusivity deals
Manage product ranges, stock files, and replenishment orders
Analyse sales and manage gross profit margins
Conduct market and competitor analysis
Drive promotions and supply marketing with relevant product info
Collaborate with planners and operations for new store setups
Review seasonal performance and adjust buying strategy accordingly
