SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing multiple repair and maintenance tasks throughout the day, as allocated through the Helpdesk or Operations Manager.
The role incumbent ensures a safe working environment while carrying out the required duties and ensure that instructions specified by the Operations Manager are adhered to according to set policies and standards

POSITION INFO:
Duties:
Ensures that all maintenance tasks are carried out on a daily base according to faults logged

Performs all repairs and maintenance (painting, cleaning, waterproofing, irrigation, replacement of globes & tubes, small plumbing work, door & lock repairs, cleaning of gutters and full bores, etc.) as requested by the Operations Manager. Identify maintenance requirement whilst doing inspections on site.
Observes entire property daily and reports leaks, breakages and non-functioning parts to the Operations Manager.
Responds to complaints received from any tenant and advise the Operations Manager.

Completed checklists on a daily basis.
Maintain high level of service delivery to internal and external clients through effective communication channels

Ensures availability to Property Management team as well as existing and new tenants.
Maintain good relationships with all stakeholders both internal (property management) and external (tenants, service providers)

Night and Weekend duties

Responsible for night and weekend duties as agreed with General Manager and Operations Manager.

Requirements:

2 years’ experience in a similar role.
Matric
Proven track record of strong technical ability and aptitude
