BROKER ASSISTANT

Location: Centurion, Gauteng
Salary: R12 000 – R18 000 per month
Position Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00
Start Date: As soon as possible

A well-established insurance brokerage is seeking an experienced and client-focused Broker Assistant to provide administrative support and assist clients with their short-term insurance policies. The successful candidate must be organised, self-disciplined and comfortable communicating with clients daily.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist clients with policy-related queries and requests.
• Complete and maintain policy administration.
• Record and update all client engagements accurately.
• Respond to client enquiries promptly and professionally.
• Support brokers with general administrative duties.
• Maintain organised and up-to-date client and policy records.
• Follow up on outstanding information and documentation.
• Ensure a high standard of customer service and client satisfaction.
• Use relevant insurance systems and administrative programs.
• Work towards customer-service measures, including first-response times.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Approximately three years of experience within the insurance industry is preferred.
• General knowledge of short-term insurance products and processes.
• RE5 qualification would be advantageous.
• Relevant and up-to-date Continuous Professional Development points would be advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Strong administrative and record-keeping skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work confidently and professionally with clients.
• Own reliable transport and a valid Code B driver’s licence.
