POSITION INFO:
Our client, a dynamic and growing international group, is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to take full ownership of the bookkeeping function across multiple entities.

This role is based in Sandton.

Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Financial Operations

• Manage the full bookkeeping function with minimal supervision
• Maintain accurate accounting records across multiple local and international entities
• Process and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances
• Prepare accounts up to trial balance level
• Ensure accurate daily transaction processing and ledger maintenance

• Support and execute month-end close processes
• Prepare and post accruals, prepayments, provisions, and journals
• Maintain trial balances, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Investigate variances and provide clear explanations
• Identify and escalate risks, discrepancies, and control weaknesses proactively

• Perform reconciliations for:
  • Bank accounts
  • Debtors and creditors
  • VAT accounts
  • Payroll control accounts
  • Intercompany balances
  • Suspense and clearing accounts
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger at all times

• Liaise with auditors and finance stakeholders across the group
• Prepare audit-ready schedules and supporting documentation
• Build strong working relationships across multiple business entities

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping
• Minimum 5 years' bookkeeping experience
• Proven experience managing bookkeeping across multiple legal entities
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of financial processes
• Strong understanding of month-end procedures and financial controls
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables
• Experience working with cloud-based accounting systems
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
