An established and growing organisation is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join its Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role is ideal for a highly organised and detail-oriented finance professional who thrives on accountability, enjoys working independently, and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records across multiple entities.
 
If you are confident managing the full bookkeeping function from transaction processing through to trial balance and have a strong understanding of month-end processes, reconciliations, and financial controls, I would like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Financial Operations

• Manage the full end-to-end bookkeeping function with minimal supervision
• Maintain accurate financial records across multiple legal entities, including international entities
• Process and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances
• Prepare accounts up to trial balance level
• Ensure all daily financial transactions are processed accurately and timeously

• Support and execute month-end close activities
• Prepare and post accruals, prepayments, provisions, and month-end journals
• Maintain trial balances, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Investigate variances and provide clear explanations
• Identify and escalate financial risks, discrepancies, or anomalies proactively

• Perform reconciliations for:
• Bank accounts
• Creditors and debtors
• VAT
• Payroll control accounts
• Intercompany accounts
• Suspense and clearing accounts
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger

• Liaise with auditors, finance managers, and internal stakeholders
• Prepare and provide audit-ready supporting documentation
• Communicate financial information clearly and professionally
