SUMMARY:
A dynamic, fast-paced business is seeking a detail-orientated Bookkeeper / Junior Accountant to support day-to-day finance operations. This role is ideal for a structured and proactive individual with strong bookkeeping fundamentals, excellent accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries
Process daily financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and receipts
Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Assist with monthly financial reporting and reconciliations
Maintain organised financial documentation and records
Process staff claims and employee expense reports
Manage purchase orders and supplier documentation
Assist with audit preparation and supporting documentation
Capture timesheets and process expense-related invoicing
Manage cashbook, credit card reconciliations, and related finance administration
Provide general administrative support to the finance function

Requirements:

Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or related field
2–5 years’ experience in a bookkeeping or finance role
Experience working with accounting software (e.g. Pastel or similar)
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Exposure to or interest in using technology / AI tools to improve finance processes is advantageous
