Bookkeeper

SUMMARY:
Our client, a retail giant is looking for store-based an on the ball Bookkeeper with FMCG experience that will be based in the East Rand area.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma/Certificate in Finance.
• 3-5 years’ relevant working experience in an FMCG environment.
• Experience working with Pastel, Pastel Evolution – advantageous, and Arch – advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the full administration function.
• Processing of cash book and journals as required.
• Provide reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to head office.
• Maintenance of payroll records to head office.
• Responsible to set policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
• Consult with the Financial Controller to ensure direct payments to suppliers.
• Liaise with External Auditors.
• Protecting the company assets specifically stock, assets and cash.
• Dealing with cash reconciliation.
• Responsible for spot checks.  
• Dealing and reconciliation of CIT (Cash in Transit) service provider as well as cash centre.
