SUMMARY:
A dynamic organization based in the East Rand is looking to employ a Bookkeeper with 5 years’ experience with strong debtors and creditors knowledge

POSITION INFO:
Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric
Accounting or Finance-related qualification advantageous.
3 - 5 years’ experience in a similar accounting or finance administration role.
Must be able to do Bookkeeping to Trial Balance
Previous experience with creditors and/or debtors.
Experience using accounting software.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and VAT.
Experience within a construction, landscaping, maintenance, contracting or project-based environment would be advantageous.
Experience with Pastel/Sage or similar accounting software would be beneficial.
Process supplier invoices and reconcile supplier statements.
Prepare and issue customer invoices and statements.
Allocate customer payments and follow up on outstanding accounts.
Perform bank, supplier and customer reconciliations.
Capture financial transactions and assist with journals and accounting entries.
Assist with VAT-related documentation and reconciliations.
Support the Finance team with month-end and year-end procedures.
Assist with payment schedules, expenses, credit card transactions and general finance administration.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records and supporting documentation.
Assist with audit preparation and provide information when required.
Resolve supplier and customer account queries professionally.
Ensure all finance-related deadlines and company procedures are met.
