SUMMARY:
A well-established company-based Sandton is seeking a Bookkeeper to support the Financial Manager.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements

Relevant qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping or Finance
3–5 years' bookkeeping experience in a busy finance environment
Strong reconciliations experience
Experience processing creditors, payments and bank reconciliations
Working knowledge of VAT and SARS requirements
Experience with foreign payments and imports would be advantageous
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

Process creditors, invoices, payments and journals
Perform bank, supplier and creditor reconciliations
Manage weekly payment runs and petty cash
Assist with VAT submissions and SARS compliance
Support month-end and year-end processes
Prepare financial reports and maintain accurate records
Assist with audits and accounting functions up to Trial Balance
Provide general finance and administrative support
Strong reconciliation and bookkeeping skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Good organisational and time management skills
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
