A well-established company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join its Finance team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who is confident in managing the full accounting function, while also contributing to financial reporting, compliance, and business insights.
 
As the Bookkeeper you will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, and supporting strategic decision-making through timely reporting and analysis. The role blends transactional duties with higher-level financial responsibilities, using Sage accounting software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full-function accounting using Sage
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns
• Maintenance of the fixed asset register
• Debtors and cashbook processing
• Bank reconciliations and journal entries
• Preparation of cost and expense analysis reports
• Monthly management accounts and trial balance reviews
• Preparation of Annual Financial Statements
• Balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow reporting (daily, weekly, and forecast)
• Assisting with audit processes and liaising with auditors
• Supporting directors with financial queries
• Sales reporting and accuracy checks
• Handling accruals (including GRN and WIP) and reconciliations
• Commission calculations
