SUMMARY:
Bookkeeper

POSITION INFO:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The role involves preparing and maintaining financial and management accounting information across multiple entities, as well as providing support to other business functions. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is eager to grow and gain exposure to a variety of accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate accounting records for multiple entities.
Process VAT transactions and assist with SARS submissions.
Capture and reconcile bank statements.
Manage supplier invoices, bank statements, and other financial documentation.
Maintain the fixed asset register, including depreciation calculations.
Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts.
Provide support with ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks.

Requirements:

Degree or Diploma in Financial Accounting (or currently studying towards one).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with Pastel Partner (advantageous).
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Able to prioritise, multitask, and work independently.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt to change.
