SUMMARY:
Our Client based in Sandton is looking for a Bookkeeper
Salary: R30 - R40 000 based on experience
Cellphone allowance: R1500
23 x leave days per annum
Flexibility to work at the office and remotely

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:
Managing a portfolio of clients and assisting with all monthly bookkeeping, payroll processing, statutory compliance, SARS submissions (VAT, PAYE and Income Tax), as well as drafting of financial statements and ad hoc advisory requests.

Bookkeeping and bank reconciliation
Process monthly payroll and submit EMP201
Prepare and submit VAT return
Handling of SARS queries
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Drafting financial statements
Submission of Income tax returns
Submission of Individual tax returns
Submission of EMP501s
Submission of statutory compliance – Annual returns, Beneficial ownership, COID submission
Preparation of share certificates and share registers
Most important to build and maintain a strong working relationship with your clients so personality and professionalism is of utmost importance.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar (essential)
A good grasp of e-filing and how to complete returns and submit disputes
Accreditation with an accounting body – i.e SAICA or SAIPA
Proficient in use of online accounting package - Xero, QuickBooks Online, or Sage
Fluent in English and Afrikaans
