Bonds Secretary

SUMMARY:
Our client, a well-established law firm based in Bryanston, is seeking an experienced Bonds Secretary to join their team.

Location: Bryanston, Johannesburg
Salary: R18 000 - R25 000CTC per month based on experience
Banking Experience: SAHL, ABSA and Investec essential

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12
• 2–3 years’ experience as a Bonds Secretary
• Previous bond experience with SAHL, ABSA and Investec is essential
• Strong knowledge of the bond registration process from instruction to registration
• Experience handling bond instructions and liaising with financial institutions
• Knowledge of bond documentation, guarantees and supporting documentation
• Experience with LexisConvey or other conveyancing software will be advantageous
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good communication and client liaison skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Computer literate, with good Microsoft Office skills

Key Responsibilities

• Managing bond matters from instruction through to registration
• Processing and preparing bond documentation
• Liaising with SAHL, ABSA and Investec regarding bond instructions and requirements
• Preparing and following up on guarantees and relevant documentation
• Communicating with clients, banks, attorneys and other stakeholders
• Monitoring matters and ensuring deadlines are met
• Attending to client and bank queries
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date files
• Providing general administrative and secretarial support to the conveyancer
