Our Client, a well-established automotive business in Fourways is looking for a detail orientated and organised junior bookkeeper to join their finance team.
Join a busy automotive operation where you will support the finance function with day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, debtor and creditor management, banking, and general accounting administration. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys structure, detail, and keeping financial records clean and accurate.

Remuneration:
R 18 000 – R 20 000– depending on experience. Benefits may include Medical Aid & Provident Fund contributions.

POSITION INFO:
Duties include

Daily receipting, allocation and banking of workshop and parts cash.
Processing and reconciling bank statements and preparing daily bank reconciliations.
Allocation of Speedpoint and electronic payments to correct accounts.
Managing debtor accounts and following up on outstanding items weekly.
Maintaining clean cash accounts and ensuring accurate allocations.
Reconciliation of accounts and resolution of queries timeously.
Processing sundry invoices and assisting with account reconciliations.
Loading EFT payments with correct supporting documentation.
Assisting with credit applications, reference checks and follow-ups.
Managing petty cash reconciliations and supporting documentation.
Assisting with settlements and ensuring complete documentation packs.
Maintaining accurate debtor and creditor records.
Supporting balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes.
Assisting with vehicle stock control and general finance administration.
General filing, administration and ad hoc support to the finance manager.
Assisting reception when required with a professional customer approach.

Requirements:

Matric / Grade 12.
Bookkeeping Diploma (advantageous).
3+ years as a Creditors Clerk / bookkeeper or similar role.
Must have prior bookkeeping experience within an automotive or similar fast-paced environment.
Essential Pinnacle experience.
Strong understanding of debtors, creditors, banking and reconciliations.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Organised, reliable and accountable work ethic.
