JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are in search of an Assistant Payroll Manager & Benefits Administrator. if you are passionate about finance and ready to bring fresh new ideas into the department, This role is for you! This position is based in Riverhorse Valley Business Estate, Durban.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
 
  • Responsible to supervise and coach the payroll administrators and ensure their work is accurate and compliant, that deadlines are met and that there is efficient service delivery to branches
  • Responsible for accurate completion and submission of Bargaining Council Returns
  • Responsible for all benefit administration
 
Requirements
 
  • Must have minimum of 3 years payroll supervisory experience with weekly payroll
  • Must have experience with completion of Bargaining Council Returns, preferably with NBCRFLI
  • Must be proficient in payroll software, D-BIT knowledge advantageous with advanced excel knowledge with Vlookup and Pivot Tables
  • Must have general accounting knowledge of how payroll fits into the general ledger and how payroll transactions affect management accounts and financial reporting.
  • Detail-orientated with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Uses own initiative and ability to work independently
  • Excellent leadership and staff management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
