SUMMARY:
An exclusive safari lodge in a private Big 5 reserve in the Greater Kruger is seeking an ASSISTANT MANAGEMENT COUPLE.

POSITION INFO:
This is a senior position within the assistant management structure. One partner will take the lead in guiding, mentoring and setting the tone for guest experience in the field, while the other takes charge of admin or reservations, keeping the lodge's daily operations and guest communication running smoothly.

Role 1 | Field Guide

Core Criteria:

FGASA qualification
DEAT registration
Valid PDP
Valid First Aid certification
Proven experience guiding in a Big 5, luxury lodge environment
Strong tracking, interpretation and guest engagement skills

Candidate Responsibilities:

Lead game drives and guest interpretation to a consistently high standard
Mentor and guide junior members of the guiding team
Maintain vehicle, rifle and equipment standards
Build strong, memorable guest relationships in the field
Uphold safety protocols on all drives and walks
Liaise with lodge management on guest preferences and daily planning

Role 2 | Admin or Reservations

Core Criteria:

Previous experience in an admin or reservations role, ideally in a remote or luxury lodge environment
Strong administrative and organisational ability
Confident working with general office and booking systems
Excellent guest-facing communication skills, written and verbal
Comfortable managing bookings, correspondence and reporting with minimal supervision

Candidate Responsibilities:

Manage lodge admin or reservations, correspondence and guest bookings
Oversee day-to-day administrative functions of the lodge
Liaise with guests, agents and management on booking queries
Maintain accurate records and reporting
Support front-of-house and guest relations as needed
Coordinate with the guiding and hospitality teams on guest itineraries

Package Offer:

Live-in position
3 weeks on / 1 week off work cycle
