SUMMARY:
Are you a hands-on finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment? A well-established company in the heavy-duty / industrial sector is looking for a detail-driven, resilient Assistant Financial Manager to support the Financial Manager and play a key role in the full finance function.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

BCom Accounting or BCom Finance
SAICA articles completed or CIMA qualification
3–5 years’ experience as an Assistant Financial Manager / Financial Manager
Exposure to the manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or heavy-duty environments (highly advantageous)
Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS 16 (Leases)

Duties:

Support the Financial Manager with day-to-day financial management
Prepare monthly management reporting packs
Drive month-end and year-end close processes
Handle balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow reporting
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Support audit preparation and liaise with external auditors
Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal controls, and ethical standards
Provide ad hoc financial analysis to operational teams
