POSITION INFO:
The Opportunity
A respected organisation based is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to support and strengthen the finance function within a manufacturing / retail-focused environment. This role is ideal for a qualified finance professional who enjoys being hands-on with the general ledger, trial balance, and month-end processes, while also leading and managing a sizeable finance team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial processing, clean audits, and reliable reporting — acting as a vital link between operational finance and management insight.

Your Impact

Oversee full general ledger processing through to trial balance
Drive month-end and audit preparation, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Manage debtors and creditors processing, maintaining strong controls
Support financial reporting and reconciliations across core accounts
Lead, manage, and develop a finance team of 8–10 direct reports
Improve workflows, controls, and efficiencies across finance processes

What Sets You Apart

BCom degree (essential)
SAICA / SAIPA / CIMA qualification (preferred)
3–5 years’ experience within a finance / accounting environment
Exposure to manufacturing or retail environments is advantageous
