We're Hiring: Fire Protection Artisans!

POSITION INFO:
Are you a skilled artisan with a passion for safety and technical excellence? We’re looking for hands-on professionals to join our growing Fire Protection Equipment team. Whether your strengths are in piping, welding, electrical, or maintenance, if you're ready to protect lives and property through quality workmanship—this is your opportunity!

We’re Looking For:

Pipe Fitters / Sprinkler Installers
Welders / Boilermakers
Electricians (Fire Detection Systems)
Service Technicians (Extinguishers, Hydrants, Hose Reels)
Mechanical Fitters (Pump Systems)
Instrumentation Technicians (Gas Suppression & Detection)

Key Responsibilities (Depending on Role):

Install and maintain fire sprinkler, hydrant, and suppression systems
Fabricate, weld, and assemble support frames and piping
Service and recharge portable fire equipment to SABS standards
Wire and commission fire detection panels and alarms
Conduct functional testing and fault-finding on installed systems
Complete service reports, safety checklists, and compliance forms

Minimum Requirements:

Recognised trade qualification (e.g., N3 + Trade Test in Fitting, Welding, Electrical, Plumbing)
Valid SAQCC Fire registration (for extinguisher and detection technicians)
Experience in fire protection systems or related mechanical/electrical environments
Ability to read technical drawings and follow installation specs
A strong safety mindset and a team-player attitude
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel

Nice to Have:

Knowledge of SANS 1475, ASIB, SANS 10400 standards
Fire system commissioning or gas suppression exposure
Certifications in working at heights, confined spaces, or first aid
