SUMMARY:
A leading Waste Management company is seeking the services of a Area Supervisor to be based at the Germiston Head Office.

POSITION INFO:

Purpose

Responsible for managing customer sites and ensuring that recyclables are salvaged and separated from waste according to type and loaded in collections bags and supervising of staff members deployed on different sites, make bookings with the controller for recyclables and waste to be collected . Adhere to service level agreement. Ensure staff members load optimally before collections done. Management of Interwaste On-site staff on the client site

MAIN DUTIES

Customer sites are managed properly and employees are working optimally at all times

Build and maintain relationship with customer

SHEQ training and monthly toolbox talks for all staff onsite aligned with customer safety rules

Manage staff time and attendance and ensure employees time sheets are signed off and submitted to payroll weekly

Issuing/Recording of safety gear to staff members copy placed on file

Ensure all customer queries are resolved timeously and provide feedback to the Operations Manager

Ensure recyclables are separated from general waste by staff onsite and placed in correct bins by grade .

Make bookings for collections of all waste streams i.e Recyclables/General/Hazardous

Engage with Controller for load collections

Attend monthly SHE meetings

Administer all documents for employees and submit to HR

Maintenance of sound working relationship

Ensure IR and HR Matters are dealt with timeously in conjunction with the HR and payroll departments

Understand Waste classifications

Strong communication and negotation skills

Visit Key Customer once a week

Build good relationship with customer and promote the organization brand

Identify new business opportunities

Attend monthly meetings with customer

Report/Record on customer surveys monthly basis

Resolve customer complaints and escalate to Unit Manager if unsure

Ensure compliancy by staff to Service Level Agreements
